LimeCars is a Tristate TLC vehicle marketplace and driver acquisition platform. We help NYC and Tristate TLC-licensed drivers get behind the wheel through lease-to-own, weekly lease, BYOV (Bring Your Own Vehicle), and financing programs. We specialize exclusively in TLC drivers — meaning every program, vehicle, and process we offer is built around rideshare and black car professionals.

What areas do you serve?

We serve drivers across the Tristate area — New York City (all five boroughs), Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Our main lot is located in Brooklyn, NY. Most of our vehicles are already FHV-registered and TLC-ready for immediate use in NYC. If you drive primarily in NJ or CT, our team can advise on cross-state registration requirements.

Do I need a TLC license to work with LimeCars?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a valid NYC TLC (Taxi & Limousine Commission) license is required for most of our programs. Your TLC license is actually your strongest asset when applying — it demonstrates you have a verified income source and professional driving credentials. What documents do I need to get started?

Accepted Answer

For most programs, you will need: (1) a valid NYC TLC license, (2) a government-issued photo ID (driver license or passport), (3) proof of address (utility bill or bank statement), and (4) proof of income (Uber/Lyft earnings summary or bank statements from the past 2–3 months). Cash-income and ITIN holders are welcome. Additional documents may be requested depending on the specific program you apply for.
